Simon Malpas

Simon loves technology, especially the creation of medical technology and how this can improve health outcomes and grow the NZ economy. His background is first as a scientist then in business development, in particular taking research into products and growing companies. After a long stint as chief scientist for a medical device company he is back full time at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute where he has a team developing the ultra-miniature implants for monitoring chronic diseases.
