Alyona Medelyan

Alyona Medelyan, Ph.D. is the CEO and Co-Founder of Thematic, an AI-powered customer feedback solution backed by YCombinator.  Originally from Ukraine, Alyona holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. Her academic work in this field has been cited by 3,500 researchers worldwide.  She started Thematic after realising that companies struggle understanding feedback at scale. She designed a solution that uses AI in a way that builds trust. Users see what AI discovers in feedback and why and can tailor the output.  With just one million dollars in funding, Thematic was able to secure world's biggest brands as customers. It's now used by LinkedIn, Atlassian and DoorDash. The impact of Thematic is measured in billions of users who use these products every day around the world.
